Two free eye camps for the underprivileged people were held in Boragari Girl’s High school premises in Domer of Nilphamari and Debottor Dhakil Madrasha premises in Atghoria of Pabna on Sataurday. The eye camps were organized by the Eye Care Project of Manabik Sahajya Sangstha with the technical assistance of Shafiuddin Ahmed Foundation, Thakurgaon and Prof. M. A. Matin Memorial BNSB Base Eye Hospital, Sirajganj.
The eye camps provided eye screening services, distributed eye glasses and identified cataract patients who will be operated shortly at our partner hospitals. All services at both the camps were provided for free.
Total 874 patients were screened, 312 free eye glasses were provided and 33 cataract patients were identified for surgery in Domer, Nilphamari eye camp whereas the Atghoria eye camp screened 813 Patients, 184 free eye glasses were distributed and 53 cataract patients were identified for surgery.
ECP-MSS is working to eliminate avoidable blindness in Bangladesh. ECP beliefs that nobody should remain blind due to poverty.
