ECP-MSS supported 797 eye surgeries among the underserved for restoring sight in 2017. Of these 671 were cataract surgeries, 81 Pterygium, 18 DCR and 27 DCT surgeries. These surgeries were conducted by expert surgeons in different partner eye hospitals of the country. During 2014-2017 ECP-MSS facilitated 1343 eye surgeries free of cost.

Partner Hospitals: partner hospitals play an import role in our project. They not only conduct the surgeries of our identified patients but also provide technical assistance by way of providing men and materials-provide doctors, refractionist, paramedic and necessary eye screening equipment to conduct eye camps. The partner hospitals provide us discounted rates for surgery and also contribute a portion of the full surgery cost.

A surgery involves:

• 3-6 meals
• 1-2 night accommodation at the hospital
• Transportation cost of patients to & fro partner hospital
• Full cost of surgery, test, spectacles, medicines, follow-up etc.
