The School Sight Testing program is designed to identify short sight and visually impaired school going children and provide them Spectacles, medicines, referral services. The program will also raise awareness of the students and teachers on basic eye care.
The School Sight Testing Program:
Under the SSTP, an awareness campaign is conducted on Eye Care Project of MSS in conjunction with the Amader Pathshala on February 26th 2018 at Pallabi Mirpur, using posters, flyers, placards and interactive lecture presentation. The awareness materials highlighting basic eye care are distributed among the students.
ECP-MSS provided one Eye Specialist and one refractionist. And eye testing equipment including vision Chart, vision box, auto-refractometer etc. were used.
A brief inauguration event was held in the school program. The Principle of Amader PArhshala, MSS Executive Director A N M Emam Hasanath, Swapna Reza and ECP team members were in attendance along with hundreds of students of the school.
Surrounding the SSTP 09 awareness classes through interactive presentations using basic eye care awareness flyers, posters and placard. The students were urged to share the eye care information with their family and friends. As part of the awareness campaign 200 flyers, 5 posters and 1 placards were distributed.
The SSTP identified short sighted and visually impaired children and provide them spectacles, medicines, and referral services as needed
