Naogaon, 12 May 2018: A free eye camp for the underprivileged people held at Raninagor KG School premises in Raninagar upazila of Naogaon districts on Saturday. The eye camp was organized by Prof. M. A. Matin Memorial BNSB Base Eye Hospital supported by Eye Care Project of Manabik Sahajya Sangstha.
The fully equipped eye care team comprised screening equipment, specialized eye doctors, refractionists, paramedic, nurses and other support staff.
Total 358 patients were screened, 122 free eye glasses were provided and 31 cataract patients were identified for surgery in Raninagar, Naogaon eye camp. The identified cataract patients will be operated shortly at our partner hospital. All services at the camp were provided for free.
“ECP is committed to provide eye care services including eye screening, eye glasses and medicines, identify cataract patients and facilitate eye surgeries of the underserved people in the remote areas “ said MSS President Mr. Feroze M Hasan.
ECP-MSS is working to eliminate avoidable blindness in Bangladesh. ECP beliefs that nobody should remain blind due to poverty.
